The basics
What is a head spa?
A head spa is a care session for the scalp and hair, done lying down, that combines a scalp wash and massage with steam. People book it to rest, and to look after a scalp that a normal wash at home does not reach.
At Galena Spa every head spa starts with a scalp evaluation. That is how the products are chosen for your scalp and not for everyone. We use ARETÉ, a professional line for hair and scalp with botanical ingredients.
It is an aesthetic and wellness service. It does not diagnose or treat medical conditions.
The session
How a head spa goes, step by step.
You arrive
You are already in the agenda. There is a drink, and we confirm out loud what you booked and how long it takes.
Scalp evaluation
Before anything is applied, we look at your scalp. It decides which products are used that day.
Wash and massage
You lie down. The scalp is washed and massaged, and we ask about pressure and areas to avoid.
Steam
Steam over the scalp and hair, with aromatherapy in the room.
Hydrating mask
A hydrating mask on the hair, left to work while you rest.
A light dry
The session ends with a light dry, so you do not leave with wet hair. It is not a blowout.

There is a single room, so there is one appointment at a time. If you come with someone, you are both in the same room at the same time.

What people ask before they book.
Will my hair be styled after a head spa?
No. A head spa at Galena Spa ends with a light dry, so you do not leave with wet hair. It is not a professional blowout or a styling service. If you have plans right after, count on finishing your hair yourself.
Do I need an appointment?
Yes. Galena Spa works by appointment only, because there is one room and one appointment at a time. Regular services can be booked the same day, subject to availability. The two celebrations need 48 hours' notice. You can book online through Booksy or by WhatsApp at 786-717-3468.
Is there a deposit, and can I change my appointment?
Yes to both. Most services are held with a 30% deposit. The Birthday Experience Royal and Royal Besties Escape are held with 50%. Changes need 24 hours' notice, or 48 hours on those two celebrations, and the deposit moves to the new date once. There is a 15-minute grace period if you run late.
Can two people come together?
Yes. Most experiences on the menu have a price for two people, and the studio has two beds in the same room. Royal Besties Escape is built for two friends: 90 minutes, $290 for both. Essential Escape for two is $220.
Is there a head spa for men?
Yes. The Gentleman Ritual is a head spa and a facial after a scalp evaluation. It lasts 70 minutes and costs $100 for one person or $190 for two.
Where is Galena Spa, and when is it open?
Galena Spa is at 123 Madeira Ave, Suite 100, Coral Gables, FL 33134, next to Miami. It is open Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM. On Mondays it opens by appointment only.
Book for one, or bring someone.
Regular services can be booked the same day, subject to availability. Celebrations need 48 hours' notice.
